In 2010, Kyosis was founded by Rupesh J Patel to design digital kiosks specifically in the retail, banking, and parking sectors. Their functionalities were innovative for the time.

However, by the end of 2013 the convenience of digital kiosks became insignificant as public adoption of smartphone applications jumped to 60% of the population. When Rupesh recognized the potential of using modern technologies to improve parking experience and data analytics in low-tech parking garages he pivoted the business. Kyosis began supplying automated parking guidance systems (apgs) for new parking structures.

To create a complete solution for clients, cloud-hosted parking access controls were added. And in 2020, to become an expert in all parking related equipment for clients, overhead doors and EV chargers were added to the product mix.
